Yesterday, on a glorious sunny May day, I avoided the sun (and the Royal Wedding), and headed down to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon for the 2018 UK Slot Car Festival.

The show is now in it’s 8th year, organised by Pendle Slot Racing, sponsored by Scalextric, and is a fabulous celebration of all things slot car.

I’ll do a proper write up as soon as I can but for now, here’s a few of the pictures I took.

Including…

That Looks Familiar

Something that was particularly great about holding the Festival in the Motor Museum is the chance to see a slot car upstairs in the show, then see the real thing downstair in a gallery.

A couple of nice examples, were the Jackie Stewart March 701 and Jack Brabham Cooper Climax:

1970 March 701 – No.1 Jackie Stewart | Policar

1960 Cooper T53 Climax – Jack Brabham | Scalextric C3658A

Below are a few more of the pictures I managed to take at the show.

Enjoy!
